Hail Allen is a 2020 TB gelding by Bird Song x Salty Breeze. When I first got him, I rode him a couple of times before deciding to keep him RRP eligible. He has been at my farm since July, where he has been gaining weight and having some time being a horse. Allen has one of the best brains and is extremely brave and willing. He is incredibly quiet and melts in your hands. He is undeniably the ‘world’s snuggliest horse’. I officially started his training at the end of December, and he has progressed very nicely. He appreciates the slower pace and goes around very soft into the contact. He is brave to the jumps with no scope issues. We are working on more consistent contact, smoother transitions, and straightness to jumps. He has given me lead changes both directions. He could easily be continued by a junior ride or adult ammy.
Allen is currently turned out in a mix herd. He comes in for a few hours to eat in the morning and evening. He has no vices in the stall or in the pasture. He currently has 4 shoes, and does a great job keeping them on. He stands (takes long naps) in the cross ties and is still for the farrier.
